Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes. Gifts to The University of Winnipeg are tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law and you will receive an official receipt for your records. The University of Winnipeg Foundation is a Registered Charity recognized by the Canada Revenue Agency and our Charitable Registration Number is 86517 1045 RR0001.

What happens if projects don’t meet their fundraising goal?

Regardless of whether the fundraising goal is met, all funds will go to the project.

Is my information secure?

Yes. We use a secure online credit card processing program for all our donations through us. For more information on UWinnipeg’s privacy policies click here.

Can I contribute anonymously?

Yes. If you prefer your name not be listed as a donor, please indicate so in your submission form. We will process the receipt under your name, but will recognize the gift as anonymous.

Can I donate by cheque?

Yes. You can send a cheque made out to The University of Winnipeg Foundation specifying the project you wish to support to:

Please be sure to include your mailing address for receipting purposes.

Will I receive support in launching my project?
